Forgital Group celebrates Project Sunrise, the ground-breaking project developed by Qantas which will operate the world’s longest commercial non-stop flights at 20 hours.
The direct flights were labelled Project Sunrise, a nod to the legendary Double Sunrise flights operated by Qantas across the Indian Ocean during WWII which remained airborne long enough to see two sunrises. Moreover, Qantas announced all net emissions from Project Sunrise flights will be carbon offset.
In late 2025 passengers will be able to fly direct between London or New York and the Australian east-coast cities of Sydney and Melbourne thanks to Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 powered Airbus A350-1000 aircrafts.
Trent XWB-97 is the world’s most efficient large aero engine in service today, enabling airlines to fly further on less fuel.
Forgital Group is proud to supply mission-critical components for the Trent XWB engine family and very excited to work with the major aerospace global players.
The only European forging company offering comprehensive solutions through vertically integrated technologies and services.
